The Regis College Gospel Choir is a group of students who spread the Christian gospel throughout Regis and neighboring communities. The primary purpose of the choir is to use Christian music as a way to educate, minister, and fellowship with a diverse group of people. The choir’s goal is to spread the love of Christ wherever they go. The choir engages in various events, such as gospel extravaganza concerts each semester, an annual heart-felt Christmas Sing-Along, and enriching participation in church services and concerts at nearby colleges. The choir seeks to continue reaching out to the community in bigger and better ways.
All members must have the ability to sing in order to participate in the choir. Each member needs to purchase a 90-minute audiocassette, which must be turned in every Monday at rehearsal. This tape will be placed in the member’s box no later than Thursday afternoon.

Elections will be held at the end of second semester. Anyone may run for any position except president. In order to run for president, the member must have completed two semesters of gospel choir. All runners must be upper class, such as rising sophomores to seniors.
Gospel choir meets every Monday from 8:30pm – 10:00pm. Choir members may have rehearsal on other days when preparing for scheduled engagements. Members will always be notified when there is a change in the schedule. All members must call an officer prior to rehearsal if they are not going to be present.
Funding will be sought directly from Student Government.
Members will be expelled from the choir if they miss more than three rehearsals. In addition, members need to listen to the audiocassette on a weekly basis in order to learn their section.
This constitution can be ratified if the choir director and executive board
feel that it is essential.
